About Chelo
Born in La Experience, Jalisco, on January 18, 1944, Chelo, known as The Mexican Voice, debuted in show business at the age of 16, singing ranchera music in the palenques, which are 360 arenas common all throughout Mexico. She is recognized as one of the pioneers of mariachi style music. From an early age, Chelo showed interest in music and began to stand out on local stages.
